Dr. Russel V. Antico is founder and clinical director of Howard County Chiropractic Spine & Sports Rehabilitation, L.L.C. located in Columbia, Md. Dr. Antico received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from The National College of Chiropractic and holds post-graduate certifications as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians), a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength & conditioning Association) and a Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional. He is also certified in Graston Technique.
Dr. Antico is also the Director of Chiropractic Care for Nava Health & Vitality Centers. As Director of Chiropractic, he advises Nava’s Integrated Wellness Team about chiropractic and other manual therapies and how they fit into integrative wellness plans. Click here to learn more.
Dr. Antico is extremely active throughout the community serving on the Columbia Association Medical Advisory Board and supporting clubs such as the Howard County Striders. When not working Dr. Antico enjoys spending time with is wife and two sons as well as running and coaching youth lacrosse.
Dr. Veronica Antico, D.C.
Dr. Veronica Antico has been an integral part of Howard County Chiropractic since opening its doors in 2003. She graduated from The National College of Chiropractic with degrees including a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
In addition to practicing at Howard County Chiropractic, Dr. Antico practiced within Nava Health & Vitality centers, giving her tremendous experience in working within a multidisciplinary environment. This, combined with her interest in exercise and nutrition as well as her real life experience as a mother of two, compliments the “Active Lifestyle” promoted by Howard County Chiropractic.
Dr. Jake Oergel, D.C.
Dr. Jake, as he likes to be called joined Howard County Chiropractic in 2016 with over 10 years of practice experience. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science with minor in Sports Management and a four year stint in the corporate world, Dr. Jake decided the human body was his true passion and attended Parker College of Chiropractic, graduating in December of 2006. Dr. Jake is Board certified with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and licensed by the Maryland Board of Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Examiners. He is full-body certified in Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Dry Needling, Kinesiotaping Method and an expert in gait analysis.
Dr. Jake is also extremely active in the running community. He has been a competitive triathlete completing over 100 multisport events with six Ironman triathlons and two ultramarathons to his credit. He has qualified for the 70.3 World Championships.
Besides racing Dr. Jake has coached athletes of all levels, from their first 5k all the way to the Hawaii Ironman. Dr. Jake is also very involved in the local Cross Fit scene, engulfing himself not on a competitive level, but on developing a deeper understanding on how to improve performance via efficient biomechanics.
Dr. Jake spends any free time he has with his wife and three beautiful daughters.
